Sabanci University Istanbul, Turkey
Oslo and Its Aftermath: Lessons Learned from Track Two Diplomacy workshop
funded by the United States Institute of Peace, Sabanci University, and
the Moynihan Institute at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University
will be held on 3-4 June in Istanbul. The workshop will bring together
the Israeli, Palestinian, and international organizers of track two
initiatives. Participation is by invitation only. The goals of the
workshop are:
- To better
understand the ‘theories of conflict transformation’ that underlie the
work of organizers of Track II initiatives between Israelis and
Palestinians
- To better
understand the strategies used by organizers to transfer the outputs of
Track Two work beyond the participants of the initiative
- To consider the conditions and contexts that facilitate transfer
- To explore how participants assess the impact of their own work and what they have found to be useful to date.
