Foundation for the Research and Societal Problems (TOSAV)
TOSAV (Foundation for the Research of Societal Problems) promotes peaceful coexistence between communities - especially Turks and Kurds - by strengthening civic society, democracy and good governance. This is accomplished through training in conflict resolution and mediation, and by popularizing its consensual document of mutual understanding: a statement of principles describing the framework of TOSAV's activities. It organizes regional meetings where local opinion leaders are brought together for discussion. Under the title of Democracy Radio it broadcasts programmes. TOSAV says it is the only NGO in Turkey designed, managed and governed entirely by Turks and Kurds.

Istanbul Policy Center
The Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) has been involved with several initiatives which take a Conflict Resolution approach into consideration. IPC Executive Board members have been active members of the Greek-Turkish Forum and the Turkish-Armenian Reconciliation Commission. IPC initiated a micro-project on developing civil society in Turkey and Greece together with the Greek think-tank ELIAMEP under the European Commission grant in 2004.
In addition, IPC regularly collaborates with Sabanci University’s Conflict Analysis and Resolution graduate program to provide opportunities to upcoming academics and researchers. This includes preparing them to facilitate events and mentoring them through their dissertation processes. So far the graduate students of the program have taken part in facilitating two international conferences organized by IPC: the Turkey-U.S. Public Policy Initiative Spring Conference in May 2007 and the Turkey-EU Observatory Annual Conference in May 2006.
